The Trinity College TESOL Certificate Training to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages A TEFL certificate validated by Trinity College London is one of two (the other being RSA Cambridge) qualifications that serve as a standard entrance to a first job in the TEFL industry. It is acknowledged by language schools world-wide and recognized by the British Council. Trinity certification guarantees such a high level of ability that some employers refuse to accept applicants who carry certificates from other organizations. As a standard entrance qualification there is no better certificate. The Certificate provides trainees with proof of ability in basic teaching practice, familiarization with the main areas of language study, and completion of a course of language awareness activities. In addition to the Trinity Certificate, trainees who successfully complete the course receive a separate certificate outlining performance on the course in greater detail.
