The safety and well being of all our students is our primary concern and is something we take very seriously.
Arrival
All student groups and individual students under the age of 18 are met by an ISIS member of staff who will ensure everything goes smoothly at the airport and during the transfer to your centre. At this point you will be given an ID card with 24 hour emergency contact information – keep this with you at all times.
During your stay
As soon as you arrive at your centre you will be greeted by a senior member of staff who will be able to answer any immediate questions. Within a few hours of your arrival you will receive a full induction concerning the centre and welfare issues. You will also be told who you need to contact if you have any problems during your stay with us.
You will be given an orientation tour of the centre and its surroundings. We shall also give you information about the School and the Activity programmes which have been organised for you. You will be able to obtain any further information you need from the Student Advice Bureau on campus.
Welfare and Supervision
During your stay with us we will provide an organised programme of activities and lessons. These will be suitable to your age and we will provide supervision at all times. Your safety and welfare is always our primary concern.
Our Staff
There is a specific, trained member of staff at your centre – The Welfare and Student Services Manager - who is there to look after you and advise you in all matters. Of course, all our staff have your welfare at heart so if you have a problem or a question ask any of us – we shall be pleased to help. We have trained first-aiders always on-site with, in addition, access to local doctors, dentists and hospitals.
Student Advice Bureau
Every centre has a Student Advice Bureau on site which is open at certain times during the say. Here you can find information about the local area, things to do in the UK and meet the Welfare and Student Services Manager and ask any questions you may have about welfare.
Medical and general insurance
In Britain, free medical treatment is available through the National Health Service to all European Union students and students from countries with reciprocal health agreements. This covers all medical matters, with the exception of dental treatment, glasses and prescriptions.
Students who are not covered by the National Neath Service are advised to take out medical insurance before leaving their home countries. We strongly advise students to take out individual personal insurance to cover personal belongings, etc, before they come to the UK. If you need any help please contact us and we will be happy to help.
You can be confident that we want to help you enjoy your time with us. We shall do all we can to make sure you benefit safely and fully from both the Academic and Activity programmes.
