On Site Activities
Although the facilities change from centre to centre we are keen to ensure that all student benefit from a varied on site activity programme.

Each evening we run a main event such as:

Casino Night – the students will learn about the games in their link lesson and then will be able to put what they have learned into practice at the ISIS Casino.

Mini Olympics – a chance for students to compete against eachother in such classics as the egg and spoon race and three legged challenge. Hopefully the staff will get involved as well!

X-Factor Night – the students try to impress the ISIS judges with their talents whatever it may be – singing, dancing or something totally different!

This year we have also introduced a number of new activities which are designed to encourage interaction. These are spread over 4 evening and are led by our teaching staff with support from the Activity Leaders

Theatre Club – an introduction to the world of acting and screenwriting

Workshop 1: The students look at two of Shakespeare’s most famous plays and get to act out some of the scenes - with a twist!

Workshop 2: The students start to write their own scene.

Workshop 3: The students will be introduced to some of the most well known techniques used for dramatic effect.

Workshop 4: The students will perform in front of a panel of judges! The winning performance will then perform in front of the whole centre during the Talent Show.

Dragons Den Club

Workshop 1: The students will be introduced to the skills needed for a successful presentation.

Workshop 2: The students will look at some wacky inventions.

Workshop 3: The students will prepare and practice their presentation.

Workshop 4: The students will present to a panel of judges who will reward the winning team.

We require 100% attendance in our activity programme and we encourage this by asking students to sign up for activities at the ISIS Fresher’s Fair which is held on the first or second their stay. Here they get the opportunity to find out what will be happening at the centre over the next few days and sign up for clubs and events.
