	Naples/Pompeii Geography Tour 3 Nights DAY 1 Arrive in Naples Airport & meet transfer coach, travel to your hotel in Sorrento. Check into the hotel. Day 2 Today the group will explore Herculaneum & Mount Vesuvius. Herculaneum was a busy Roman port destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius along with Pompeii in 79AD & rediscovered in 1709. After lunch (not included) the excursion will continue to the Volcano itself. The braver ones among you can even climb to the top to see the massive crater with special guide (entrance fee required). Day 3 After breakfast you’ll depart for a full day visit to Pompeii & Naples by coach. Pompeii once was a flourishing town and seaside resort, students can experience the Roman town which was engulfed in ashes following the massive volcanic eruption. After lunch the group will visit Naples where the National Archaeological Museum has an extensive collection of Greco-Roman treasures including finds from Pompeii & Herculaneum. Day 4 Before departing Sorrento (departure flight time permitting) the group can do some last minute sightseeing or shopping before departing for their return journey to the UK.
