Day 1
On arrival youll be collected from the airport by coach & transferred to your accommodation. Depending on flight times the group will have an opportunity to settle in
before dinner at the Hostel. |

Day 2
experienced guide, the guide will highlight the areas & landmarks connected with Tudor / Stuart London. The tour will finish close to the National Portrait Gallery, Leicester Square where the group will have an opportunity to view a large collection of Tudor Portraits. The first floor collection forms a fascinating whos who of medieval monarchy; theres a room devoted to pictures of Mary, Queen of Scots & a portrait of Henry VIII by Holbein. The group can then either have lunch at one of the numerous cafes or restaurants in Leicester Square or alternatively grab a sandwich & sit by Trafalgar Square, the centrepiece of London. After lunch the group will depart for Hampton Court Palace. Remembered for chopping off Anne Boleyns head, having Six wives & bringing about the English Reformation, Henry VIII is one of Historys most unforgettable monarchs. And this Tudor Palace nicknamed Magnificence-Upon-Thames is a suitable spectacular monument to the King.

Day 3
After breakfast the group will depart for Greenwich. Greenwich earned its reputationwhen it was a playground for Tudor Royalty. Henry VIII & his daughters Mary I & Elizabeth I were all born here - Greenwich Palace was Henrys favourite residence. The group can ei-ther have lunch at one of the numerous cafes & restaurants in Greenwich or alternatively grab a sandwich for a picnic in Greenwich Park. The group can also visit nearby Eltham Palace where Henry VIII grew up (entrance not included). After lunch the group will visit Westminster Abbey. Westminster Abbey has been synonymous with British Royalty since 1066, since then a whos who of Monarchy have been buried here, and with two exceptions (Edward V & VIII), every English Monarch since William the Conqueror (1066) have been crowned in the Abbey. The Abbey has had several extensions built including the Lady Chapel added by Henry VII in 1512. Henry VII, Elizabeth I & Mary I all have tombs here. Dinner to be taken at the hostel.

Day 4
After breakfast the group will have some free time shopping or for some last meeting sight-seeing, before meeting the transfer coach for the journey back to the Airport.
OTHER SITES WORTH VISITING:
Hever Castle (the childhood home of Anne Boleyn), Shakespeares Globe, Tower of London (Two of Henry VIIIs wives were executed here as well as Sir Thomas More & Thomas Cromwell. Elizabeth I was also imprisoned here for 3 months in 1554) & the Medieval Gallery at the Museum of London.
