	Strasbourg & Black Forest Discovery tour 5 Days/3 Nights DAY 1 Depart school early evening for the UK port. Continue overnight to Strasbourg. Day 2 Arrive mid morning. After check-in your Guide will meet the group in the reception and take you on a 1 hour walking tour of the Old City (le Petit France) with its half-timbered houses and magnificent Cathedral. Lunch can be taken in one of the many restaurants in the old town. After lunch the pupils will get an insight into life in the Alsace region with a visit the Alsatian Museum. Dinner will be taken in the hostel. Day 3 After breakfast we’ve arranged a mini coach tour of the region including a tour of the famous Kronenbourg brewery to see how beer is brewed, followed by a visit to the Earl la Chevre Goat Farm for a demonstration of cheese making and then finally a visit to the Secret du Chocolat factory/museum to see the expert choclatiers at work. Time allowing you’ll also visit the ECO Museum in Ungersheim. This fascinating open air museum contains 70 traditional style buildings which were dismantled and painstakingly rebuilt in the museum. Dinner will be in the Hostel. Day 4 The coach will take you on a full day excursion across the German border to the Black Forest. You’ll stop in the medieval town spa of Baden-Baden and then travel on to the historic University town of Freiburg. There you’ll be able to take a cable car ride to see the breathtaking scenery of the area. During the trip your pupils may get the chance to see the local wood craftsmen at work. You’ll arrive back in Strasbourg in time for Dinner. Day 5 Depart for home after breakfast to arrive back at school late evening.
