	Krakow & Auschwitz Tour 2 Nights DAY 1 The coach will meet you at Krakow Airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have a chance to freshen up before taking a fully guided tour of the Kazimierz quarter, the historical centre of Krakow’s Jewish religious & social life before World War II. The tour includes the area’s most important monuments, such as the sites which featured in Stephen Spielberg’s Oscar winning film ‘Schindlers List’. We can arrange an evening meal in a traditional Jewish restaurant. Day 2 After breakfast, you will depart for Auschwitz, the death camp made notorious during World War II by the Nazis. The tour actually entails a visit to both Auschwitz and Birkenau camps, where students can see the gas chambers and the furnaces, as well as the cells which held the detainees. As part of the exhibition, students will see samples of the items taken from the prisoners, including hair, shoes, glasses and other possessions. After lunch you will then visit Plaszow Camp, originally designed to be a forced labour camp but in 1941 was extended & developed into a concentration camp. Evening meal at the hotel restaurant. Day 3 After breakfast the group can spend the morning sightseeing or shopping before transferring to the airport to pick up your return flight.
