If you take a coach tour we will aim to get you to the destination around Midday). Time to settle in and explore the local area before dinner. Day 2 After breakfast the coach will depart for a day’s sightseeing in Barcelona. First stop will be the city’s most emblematic symbol, the magnificent, Gaudi-designed Sagrada Familia, with its piercing Gothic spires and columns. After lunch (not inc.), the group head off for another Gaudi treat, and the Parc Guell, a fairytale landscaped space featuring palm-shaped pillars, staircases and stone houses, one of which Gaudi lived in. You’ll then you return back to the hotel for dinner. Day 3 After breakfast, the coach will take the group to the Nou Camp, home of Barcelona Football Club, for a fascinating, in-depth tour of the mighty Catalan club, including the museum. Following lunch (not inc.) it’s a trip to ‘magical’ Montjuic, site of the 1992 Olympic Games. This fortress-topped hill is a pleasure ground of gardens, museums and galleries, and offers the perfect spot for a leafy stroll and superlative views of the city. After dinner, get the flash shoes on for an evening at the bowling hall! Day 4 After breakfast the coach departs for *Port Aventura, about 60 miles south of Barcelona on the Costa Dorada. One of Europe’s premier theme parks, Port Aventura features a tropically landscaped water park, and five internationally themed zones with dozens of exhilarating rides. Real thrill-seekers, however, can take on stomach-churning rides such as the fearsome Dragon Khan Rollercoaster. There are also over 100 daily live shows, including music and dance, and a lakeside fireworks show, ensuring that your students will have day to remember. The coach will then return the group to the hotel in time for dinner. *Open in spring / summer only Day 5 If traveling by coach you’ll depart for the UK after lunch to arrive the following day. Air tours will be dependent on the flight times.
