Britain's oldest university town
Oxford is the very beautiful home of one of the oldest and most famous universities in the world. There are 36 different colleges in the University, and each college has its own particular architectural style, history and charm. Many of them have lovely gardens, open to visitors. Oxford city centre is full of ancient buildings, dating from the 13th century. |
| But Oxford is also home to thousands of students and there are so many exciting places to go: pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars and nightclubs; museums, theatres and art galleries; markets and bookstalls; boat trips on the river; and a fantastic range of shops. |
| Getting to London is cheap and easy: coaches leave every 12 minutes. Heathrow airport is just 50 minutes by coach. Many other interesting places are close to Oxford, including Bath, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Stonehenge, Windsor and the Cotswolds. |
| The ISIS Oxford School is linked with Oxford Brookes University and Oxford & Cherwell College, so students can move easily to undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and vocational courses within the city. |
The School
The ISIS Oxford School of English is in the very centre of Oxford, just a few metres from the main street. It is spacious, quiet and has fantastic views over the city rooftops to the surrounding countryside. |
| There are 10 classrooms, a computer room, a self-study centre, a student social room and a café at break time.Buses to all parts of the city stop close by. |
