All ISIS Language Centres are accredited by the British Council and aim to provide an affordable and comfortable environment for students while they study in the UK. In September 2004, ISIS introduced a new set of criteria in an attempt to guarantee standards across the accommodation services. The main accommodation options are:
Homestay
Hotels, Guest Houses
and Bed and Breakfasts
College Residence
Rental Properties
Executive Stays
| All the options can be requested for periods from one week to one year, but availability for certain options is limited in high season and by location. All partner companies are carefully vetted to make sure that students receive high quality accommodation. Among the assessment criteria, ISIS inspects accommodation based on comfort, value, hygiene, location, safety precautions and friendliness of staff and families. Some accommodation options may not be available at all schools - please check availability. |

Homestay
All the schools offer a range of homestay facilities where students can live with UK families and enjoy immersion in the language. There are a number of options available to students in terms of rooms, meal plans and length of stay. Single, twin and family rooms can be booked and combined with half- or full-board meals. Families tend to be very flexible as regards student needs but expect the student to fit into the day-today life of the family. Long-term students find the language practice very useful and the home environment reassuring, while holding their own key means they can come and go as they please. |
Hotels, Guest Houses and Bed and Breakfasts
All the schools can offer a selection of hotels, guest houses or bed and breakfasts for predominantly short stay visits. These options provide more of a holiday atmosphere and many are located in the centre of the city making sightseeing and cultural visits. Clients may prefer the familiar environment of hotels, the welcoming atmosphere of a guest house or the freedom afforded by a bed and breakfast. |

College Residence
Staying at a college campus allows students to enjoy excellent facilities for academic life. Single en-suite rooms afford a degree of privacy while also giving the chance of making friends with other international students in the complex. Most rooms are centred around a common kitchen area where the students can meet and relax. |
| Many students choose this option for long-term visits and as a result form firm friendships with their neighbours. Schools should be contacted to confirm availability for college residence as this is a very popular option. |
Rental Properties
Staff at the ISIS schools will be able to advise on the best methods to search for rental properties in the local area. There are a number of companies that provide services to short-term tenants and groups of students. This option is only available to students based in the UK, so new students would require short-term accommodation when they arrive. During this period students will be given support in their search for a suitable rental property. Clients should be made aware that minimum rental periods may apply and deposits are required by most UK landlords. |

Executive Stays
Many of the hotels available offer excellent services to business executives and VIP students, however if clients require an extra dimension to their accommodation our executive stay option may be the answer. These are located in business complexes and conference facilities and boast superlative rooms, catering and support services. Many executive accommodation providers have communication centres where clients can check email and faxes from their businesses at home. |
