ISIS Teacher Development Centre The ISIS Teacher Development Centre (TDC) is based at the ISIS Study Centre in London and works to help individuals and groups to qualify to teach English. The TDC also runs programmes to support teachers to develop their professional skills in the London and Brighton areas. All courses are open to native and non-native speakers of English. Trinity College London TESOL Certificate ISIS ELT Professional Certificate ISIS ELT Certificate in Teaching Juniors Cambridge ESOL Teacher Knowledge Test Preparation Course Trinity College London TESOL Certificate The Trinity TESOL is one of two internationally-recognised certificates qualifying successful trainees as EFL Teachers and providing the chance to work in English language teaching around the world. The course, which runs for four weeks, is available to natives and non-natives that meet the entry requirements. There are up to ten courses each year with a maximum of eight trainees per course. This allows a high ratio of trainees to tutoring staff. Trainees are assessed through observed teaching practice, written coursework, language awareness tests and moderation by a Trinity College London examiner. ISIS ELT Professional Certificate The ELT Professional Certificate is a two-week intensive course that allows both current and prospective teachers to learn more about ELT methodology and the communicative teaching approach. It is ideal for : non-native teachers of English who wish to improve their teaching style with communicative methods and immersion techniques qualified ELT teachers who wish to revise and update their qualification The course includes input sessions on a range of concerns, including methodology, planning, materials and classroom management, as well as assessments on language awareness, phonology and teacher development. There is also observed teaching practice and peer observation with written coursework assessment. For more information click here ISIS ELT Certificate in Teaching Juniors The ELT Certificate in Teaching Juniors is a one-week course aimed at presenting the best in techniques and materials for teaching junior students. With junior students making up 40% of private school teaching across Europe, the importance of approaching this age group correctly cannot be overestimated. The course includes input on an array of key areas, including discipline, appropriacy of materials and classroom tools. Cambridge ESOL Teacher Knowledge Test Preparation The course preparing teachers for the Cambridge ESOL written examination of Teacher Knowledge is a one-week course and includes input sessions on all areas needed to pass the examination.
